Soflex’s manufacturing system consists of the latest ultra-precision high speed diamond turning C.N.C. lathe cutting machines - including the OPTOFORM 40.
The air-bearing design of the spindle is capable of running up to 10,000 RPM and reaching a surface finish of 0.012μm RMS, and form accuracy of 0.3μm.
The OPTOFORM 40 is equipped with:
• FTS - Fast Tool Servo system.
• Milling attachment which provides the user with the capability to CNC mill “free-form shapes” (which would include for example IOL haptics) in one piece from a part program.
