Cleaning Contact Lenses

We brought you information on how to clean contact lenses on a weekly or daily basics.

There are two kind of solutions for cleaning contact lenses:
Multipurpose solution is for cleaning, rinsing, disinfecting and storing your contact lenses.
Hydrogen peroxide solution is for cleaning, disinfecting, rinsing and storing your contact lenses

Daily Cleaning with the Multi Purpose System:

1.Clean each lens with Soft Soap, a product intended specifically for soft contact lenses.  Gently rub each lens with a fingertip for about 30 seconds.
This procedure removes germs, protein and calcium deposits, oils and other
substances secreted in the tears, as well as any environmental pollutants that have
accumulated on the lens.
2.Rinse the soap from the lens, using a rinsing solution specifically intended for soft contact lenses.  It is recommended to place the lens in basket case before rinsing, to avoid misplacing the lens.
3.Soak the lens in Dispo solution for at least two hours before reuse.
4.Before placing the lens in the eye, rinse the lens with an appropriate solution.
5.Clean the contact lens case with soap and water, dry it well, and close it.

Weekly Cleaning with the Multi Purpose System:

NOTE:  This procedure is omitted when using Dispo solution containing an enzyme solvent.
1.Clean and rinse each lens according to steps one and two of the daily cleaning procedure, above.
2.Soak each lens for at least two hours in saline solution to which a CleanZyme enzyme tablet has been added.
The enzyme tablet breaks up any protein and calcium deposits that have accumulated on the lens.
